Am I being too micro-minded?
As I read the news about things happening around the world, I cannot help but think that I am very shallow. Do you know what occupies my mind for the weekend? Coffee maker ratings.
I mean there are people dying from some disaster in Taiwan and many more are dying because of political unrest around the world and all I can think about is what coffee maker should I get.
Perhaps, I should blame my government for giving me such a luxury. I lived in Singapore, so sometimes when you read about dissent and complains about the government, it makes you wonder.
These are folks that have the time, the technology and even the education that allows them to complain, can they not do more other than complain to the government.
If they think the government is not doing enough, why not volunteer themselves to help so that they can make the difference.
I did not complain. But, I think I should do more rather than just surf the web looking for good coffee maker in the hope that my brew would be better than starbucks.

How did I found it?
Some call it luck, but I am not someone that believes in luck, so I tend to think it is diligence and hard work. I had and is still using what many consider to be one of the top rated coffee makers around.
It has all the qualities, it is low cost, it does not take up too much space, it is from a well known brand and of course it makes good coffee.
I am not going to reveal the brand because doing that would probably cloud your judgment and move you towards the direction of wanting to own that coffee machine.
That is the last thing I wanted to do, in fact it is a thing which I did not do and a main reason how I ended up with this great coffee machine.
The whole idea of finding one machine that is suitable is to first decide your need then look for a model that would suit and settle that need of yours.
It is that simple, there are no special or secret to finding best coffee makers...

Let me spend another post on this.
I was shopping yesterday when I saw this guy looking and asking the shop salesman for the best coffee machine. I am not trying to be mean, but would that salesman really offer his most honest feedback?
Would he really offer the guy (that do not know anything about coffee machines) a good buy or would he go all out and recommend him the machine that would reap the highest commission.
I am writing this so that those that see it would know that, buying a coffee machine is really a personal thing. Now, if you know nothing about coffee maker, why not get something simpler?
Something that does not require you to worry about break down and stuff. You do not always have to follow the crowd, the crowd might not be always correct...

Is this the best coffee machine?
$11000 is a lot of money to pay for a coffee machine, it is what you would call state of the art technology. So, do you consider that to be the best coffee machine?
I have written countless articles about this and till now, I cannot and I believe nobody can give a definite answer on what constitute to a best coffee machine.
$11000 is a lot of money to pay for a coffee machine, it might be the latest technology, but would you be able to use it? Would you even know how to operate it?
There are many variables that determines one best coffee machine. Personally, I choose ease of use over anything.
As long as it is easy to use, it fits my requirement. For some, it might be the brand, others it might be the ability of the machine.
Asked yourself this question -what it is that I want to look for in a coffee machine? That would provide the answer to your best coffee machine...

The truth is, not many people would bother with the consumer reports, so why bring it up? I was talking to a buddy recently and he mentioned that he is going to buy a particular model of coffee maker.
I asked him why and he told me about how good and how great this coffee brewer is. I asked him who told him that, he cited some experts in an online website.
I am not trying to discredit anyone but the consumer reports coffee makers are in, cannot really be trusted. An article make a good point, click to read about it..
Most of these consumer reports need to make a living, so if they wrote something negative about coffee machines, wouldn' they be slapping their own face?
And this is my two cents...
